Bricklin Meet 2015 40th Club Anniversary
July 15th July 18th

The Bricklin meet this year will be in Harrisburg/Hershey, PA. The clubs first meet was in Hershey PA back in 1975. A lot has changed since then; Hershey has become a very popular vacation destination especially in July and our Bricklins have gotten a little older!

Accommodations:

This years meet will be hosted by the Sheraton Harrisburg/Hershey Hotel, 4650 Lindle Road Harrisburg, PA. The 347-room hotel has recently been remodeled.
Reservations can be made at;
https://www.starwoodmeeting.com/Book/Bricklin
Or call (717) 564-5511 and request the Bricklin meet.
Rates for the meet which include a full all you can eat breakfast buffet are:
Single $116.00 Triple $148.00
Double $132.00 Quad $164.00

The cut off-date for accepting reservations into this guest room block is June 29, 2015. Reservation requests received after 5:00 pm local time at the hotel on the cut-off date will be accepted at the hotels prevailing rate, which in 2014 was $230.00 double including breakfast. These prices are good for three days before and three days after the meet (7/12 7/21) if you want to extend your stay to include some of the area attractions. Some of the more popular ones are:

Area Attractions:

Hershey Park hersheypark.com
Hershey Theater hersheytheater.com
Hershey gardens hersheygardens.org
Hershey Country Club Golf hersheycountryclub.com
Pennsylvania State Police Museum psp-hemc.org
The National Civil War Museum nationalcivilwarmuseun.org
The Pennsylvania National Fire Museum pfnm.org
Several Vineyards & Wineries
Other attractions can be found by checking the rack at the hotel. And of course theres lots of restaurants and shopping in the area.

Parking:

Parking was an issue at the 2014 meet, but this hotel has plenty of room.
Kerry & June Starks Bricklin museum will have room to set up at the front of the parking area for the Bricklins. All other trailers will park next to the fence in the same parking lot.
If there is inclement weather we will have a tent cover, and there will be a wash station for us to use courtesy of the hotel.

Tentative Itinerary:

Wednesday July 15th
Register at the hotel and get your meet pack. The hospitality room will be open early. Hang around and talk Bricklins!

Thursday July 16th
This will be a busy and fun day! At 9:00 am sharp we will leave the hotel to go to Harley Davidsons new all air-conditioned factory 1425 Eden Road York PA. This is a free tour of a working factory. Note: No open toe shoes allowed. This is a 32-mile drive on scenic country roads along the Susquehanna River. After the tour, around 11:30 am, we will depart the factory and head for Indian Echo Caverns, 368 Middletown Road Hummelstown, PA. (indianechocaverns.com) Here we will have a catered Bric-nic consisting of: chicken breast, hamburgers, hot dogs with pasta salad & cole slaw, dessert cake, soda or bottled water. Then, on to a 45-minute tour of the caverns. The cost for both is $12.00 adult and $7.00 child under 12. Normally it is $25/$20 but the Bricklin club will be making up the difference. The Bric-nic (which by the way is all you can eat!) will be under a covered pavilion. Also on the grounds is a petting zoo and Gem Mill Station for the kids or the kids in us! Its a beautiful area.

Friday July 17th
Again at 9:00 am we leave the hotel for the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, PA. (AACAMuseun.org). They have a green 4-spd Bricklin donated by Mr. Joe Disciullo. We will be parking our cars on the grass in front of the museum for pictures. Afterward you can tour the museum for a fee of $9.50
At 11:00 am we depart and go just down the road to the free Hershey Chocolate World Factory tour at Hershey Park, and
then to downtown Hershey to the Hershey Museum. (hersheystory.org) Admission is $8.50. This is a self-guided tour so allow as much time as you like. Since we will be downtown Hershey with numerous restaurants, everyone will on their own for lunch.

Saturday July 18th
Car show and banquet at the hotel.
We have a nice elegant banquet hall, and from this banquet hall you can go to an outside pavilion if you like.

Meet Directors:

Joe Vasso and Art Zubrowski
Joe Vasso is from Long Island, NY and Art Zubrowski is from Eastern, CT. It has been a challenge working on this, but fun. We hope that we have a good turn out for the 40th Anniversary of the Bricklin International Owners Club. Thanks from Joe and Art. See you in July.

oops wrong post

your mileage may vary, parental guidance is advised, call before you dig, consult your
doctor, action figures sold separately, see a qualified tax professional, mind the gap, may contain peanuts, no user serviceable parts inside, offer void in Nebraska, batteries not included

Ha. I saw that Rick.
Now good news on Pa. Meet. If Vasso's in,I'm in. He put on a great meet in Long Island but it will be a long drive to his house party!!
I plan on going to this one and it's been a few years since I made the trek.

... as luck would have it; Mike and 2882 won't be there...

It seems the Boss Lady and I will be in Wisconsin for a wedding.
